To be perfectly honest, my eating habits these days haven’t exactly been healthy. I don’t have any new recipes to share because I’ve cooked, oh, once in the past month. I’d say getting married is a good enough excuse though, right? The past few weeks we’ve been riding the post-wedding wave — we’re still on the high from the main event and honeymoon, and newness of living together. It’s been quite a ride! And I don’t want to get off. Maybe that’s why for the past few weeks my diet has pretty much consisted of Mexican food, pizza and leftover wedding cake. Plus Thanksgiving. And two days of leftovers. I suppose you could say I’m still celebrating. And I’m in no state to talk nutrition. But you know something funny? I’ve never felt healthier. There’s a saying I like: “You can eat all the broccoli in the world, but if you’re not happy, it’s not going to get you there.” It’s true… most of the time you can get a lot more of the good stuff that keeps you healthy from living and the joys of life than vegetables.
Until I go back to juicing and the like (Ross can’t wait)… I’ll try to get back in the groove of blogging with fun, interesting and inspiring things to share…. Like our photographer’s blog post from the wedding. I’m dying to see the rest of them. I have a feeling there’s going to be more pictures than we know what to do with. I’m not sure how we’re going to narrow them down into just a single album. Or choose a holiday card…. that is if I get ambitious and follow through with one. I figure these photos are too good not to show them off!
